I don't get to see a single game of the WS. Miss the weekday games working. Friday, Saturday and Sunday I'm downy Lake Anna fishing. Granted I'll have more fun next weekend but still...

I can't root for any NY team except in the direst of circumstances. Beating the Royals isn't quite dire enough for me.

Edinson Volquez's father died today in the Dominican Republic age 63, of heart disease.

A couple news outlets are reporting that Volquez has not been told. Fox has decided not to mention it during the broadcast.

But ESPN reports that he DID find out shortly before the game.
